Bookings & Payments
When you select accommodation on our website, your selection is an offer to purchase — not a confirmed booking. A contract is only formed once we process your payment in full. The tariff shown is in Australian dollars and includes GST.
Yes. A 0.90% surcharge applies to payments made by MasterCard, Visa (credit or debit), Amex, Diners, or UnionPay. EFTPOS transactions are excluded. The surcharge will be displayed before you confirm payment.
No — only one promotional or membership offer can be redeemed per booking. Discounts must be applied at the time of booking and cannot be added or refunded after confirmation.
Book Now, Pay Later lets you secure accommodation without paying upfront. Key conditions:
- Available on tourist tariff, direct website or direct-to-park bookings only
- Payment is required 48 hours before arrival
- Cancellations 48+ hours before arrival incur no fee
- Corporate, group, permanent, and annual bookings are excluded
- Blackout periods apply
- Not available at: Bright (VIC), Fraser Street Hervey Bay (QLD), Glen Helen (NT), Rottnest Island (WA), Mackay (QLD), Streaky Bay Foreshore (SA), Townsville (QLD), Nagambie Lakes (VIC), Katherine (NT), Ulladulla (NSW), and Busselton (WA)
Yes, subject to availability. Changes may affect the tariff based on the new booking period, and an administrative fee may apply.
Cancellations & Refunds
- More than 14 days before arrival: Cancellation fee = 1 night's accommodation
- Less than 14 days before arrival: Cancellation fee = 25% of total tariff OR 1 night's accommodation — whichever is greater
- More than 30 days before arrival: Cancellation fee = 1 night's accommodation
- Less than 30 days before arrival: Cancellation fee = 25% of total tariff OR 1 night's accommodation — whichever is greater
Yes. All bookings during Jindabyne's Snow Season Peak (25 June – 30 September 2026) are 100% non-refundable.
If a Force Majeure Event (e.g. natural disaster, severe weather, government restrictions) prevents your stay, Mt Isa Caravan Parks may cancel your booking. In that case, we will offer you:
- A transfer to a new date; or
- A Booking Credit for future use
Where neither option is reasonable, or where required by law, a full refund of the unfulfilled booking will be provided.
No. Refunds are not given for unused portions of your booking, including no-shows and early departures once you have arrived at the park.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in: 2:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM
Alternative arrangements must be agreed with park management in writing before arrival. Late departure may result in a charge for an additional night at the prevailing tariff.
You can check in using the Discovery Parks app or by reporting directly to reception and signing in on arrival.
Yes. Rooms or cabins left in an unsatisfactory state will incur a $500 cleaning charge. Lost or unreturned keys or security cards will be charged at replacement cost.
Park Rules & Guidelines
Only dogs are permitted, and only at parks designated as dog-friendly. You must agree to the dog guidelines, complete a dog owner declaration before entry, and comply with all dog conditions during your stay.
Smoking is not permitted in or around any park facilities including cabins/rooms, amenities, playgrounds, jumping pillows, games rooms, cafés, or aquatic areas. Smoking in a cabin/room incurs a $500 cleaning fee.
Yes. Quiet time is after 10:00 PM every day. Unruly behaviour, excessive noise, drunkenness, or offensive language is not tolerated and may result in eviction without refund.
Only one vehicle per booking is permitted to ensure the comfort of all guests.
All minors (under 18) must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while in the park. Discovery Parks is not responsible for the behaviour of third parties in the park. Responsibility for children's welfare rests with the booking guest.
Yes. If you or your party presents a risk to health or safety, or breaches the terms and conditions or park rules, Discovery Parks may immediately terminate your accommodation and evict you without refund.
Booking Credits
As an alternative to cancellation, you may request a Booking Credit equal to the amount you paid. Discovery Parks may (but is not obliged to) issue one. Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Booking Credits can be redeemed for accommodation only at Discovery Holiday Parks properties (excluding Discovery Parks – West Beach). They cannot be used for cash, meals, sightseeing, or other services.
Credits may be used in part or in full, and any remaining balance can be used towards future accommodation.
No. Booking Credits are non-transferable and must be presented at the time of check-in. Unused credits expire after 12 months and will not be refunded.
